Learn Freediving in Ao Nang

Have you ever wondered how far one breath can go? Unlike scuba diving, as a freediver you rely solely on holding your breath as you explore the beauty of the ocean. Learning how to freedive is a journey to explore the body’s capabilities through knowledge and relaxation of both the body and mind. The allure of freediving lies not only in its physical challenges but also in the introspective journey it provides: you will learn to be comfortable in the water and explore new sensations while building a deep connection with the aquatic environment.

With freediving being more popular than ever, we take pride in being the first and only PADI Freediving Center in Ao Nang. The PADI Freediver Course is your first step toward immersing yourself in the captivating world of breath-hold diving.

Become a PADI Freediver in Two Days

The PADI Freediver course is a two-day journey divided into three phases: theory, confined water training, and open water sessions. Your course starts with studying the required freediving theory through PADI e-learning. The confined water sessions are held at a swimming pool, where you will learn and practise breath-hold techniques for static and dynamic apnea. On the second day, you will head to our boat for your open water sessions in the stunning local islands of Ao Nang, where you will practise free immersion and constant weight freedives. The course provides a focus on learning proper safety techniques, allowing you to have confidence and peace of mind on your dives.

Already a PADI Freediver? Become an Advanced Freediver

The PADI Advanced Freediver Course is designed for gradual progression. The course provides insights into your body’s performance during apnea, allowing you to refine your freediving skills.

The comprehensive PADI Advanced Freediver Course lasts three days, consisting of two days of freediving training, and one day of EFR (Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care) training. For those already holding a valid EFR certification (acquired within 24 months), the two-day Rescue Diver course is available individually.

Our Advanced Freediver course is divided into three segments: theory, confined water training, and open water sessions. You will begin your course by studying required freediving theory through PADI e-learning. In the confined water sessions at a swimming pool, you will practise stretching and relaxation techniques, learn proper weighing techniques, and refine static and dynamic apnea. The second day involves practical open water sessions around Ao Nang’s gorgeous local islands, focusing on deeper free immersion, constant weight freedives, and additional buddy procedures and self-rescue techniques. Going deeper than on your initial course, you will get the chance to sense the wonderful experience of free-fall.
