What You’ll Learn in the PADI Open Water Diver Course
The course is split into three main parts, all of which are designed to build your confidence and make sure you feel 100% ready to dive on your own:
Knowledge Development
You’ll start with online learning through PADI eLearning—do it at home or by the beach before your first day in the water. We make sure you understand key concepts like buoyancy, dive planning, and underwater safety.
No boring classrooms—we want you outside enjoying your holiday!
Confined Water Sessions
Next, you’ll jump into a shallow water setting where we practice essential scuba skills in a safe, calm environment. At Fast Manta, we do all confined training in neutral buoyancy to prepare you for real-life diving from the beginning.
You’ll learn things like:
- Clearing your mask
- Hovering mid-water
- Sharing air with a buddy
- Controlling your buoyancy like a pro
Open Water Dives
Then the real adventure begins. You’ll complete four open water dives at some of the most stunning sites around Krabi and Phi Phi. Expect crystal-clear waters, colorful corals, and plenty of marine life like clownfish, turtles, and even the occasional leopard shark.
On each dive, you’ll practice your skills while exploring and falling in love with the underwater world.
