From the beginning, we have operated as an eco-oriented dive center, and we are thrilled to announce that we have reached a new milestone: we are now an official PADI Eco Dive Center.

In addition to our environmental efforts, we are proud to be recognized as a PADI Instructor Development Center (IDC). We train the next generation of PADI Divemasters and Instructors, instilling eco-friendly values and sustainable diving practices in every dive professional we certify.
What It Means to Be a PADI Eco Dive Center
Being a PADI Eco Dive Center is more than just a title; it is a continuous commitment to integrating eco-friendly practices into our daily operations. Our approach ensures that every dive is an opportunity to contribute to ocean conservation.
A core aspect of our commitment is making every dive an AWARE dive—where divers not only explore the underwater world but also participate in marine debris removal and data collection. We have adopted Koh Yawasam as a key dive site, conducting regular clean-ups and monitoring reef health. Each diver is equipped with mesh bags and scissors to aid in cleaning up debris during every dive.
Our goal is simple: ensure that each of our guests learns and follows eco-friendly diving techniques, reducing diver-related impacts on marine ecosystems. By emphasising buoyancy control and marine life preservation, we empower divers to become ocean stewards.

As a PADI Eco Dive Center, we adhere to the Green Fins code of conduct, a globally recognized standard for responsible and sustainable diving practices. At Fast Manta, these best practices are part of our everyday operations:
- No Touching or Disturbing Marine Life: We educate all divers on the importance of observing marine life without touching or disturbing it, as coral reefs and sea creatures thrive best when left undisturbed.
- Proper Waste Management: Every dive is an opportunity to collect sea debris, and we ensure that all waste is properly managed, encouraging divers to keep the ocean clean.
- No Anchoring on Coral Reefs: We use mooring buoys instead of anchors to prevent damage to fragile marine habitats, protecting the reefs from harmful impacts.
- Educating Our Guests on Best Practices: Our dive briefings cover eco-friendly techniques like maintaining good buoyancy, avoiding contact with coral reefs, and minimising human impact on marine life.
- Promoting Reef-Safe Sunscreen: We encourage the use of reef-safe sunscreen to protect marine life from harmful chemicals, recommending environmentally friendly alternatives.
- Zero Littering Policy: We maintain a “leave no trace” policy on land, boat, and underwater, ensuring responsible waste disposal in all settings.
Our Role as a PADI Instructor Development Center
As a PADI Instructor Development Center, Fast Manta Diving Krabi is dedicated to creating eco-conscious divers and training future PADI Divemasters and Instructors. Our IDC programs emphasise eco-awareness alongside diving skills, shaping the next generation of dive professionals to prioritise marine conservation.
We actively contribute to PADI Professional Development Opportunities (PDO), producing highly skilled dive professionals who respect and protect marine environments. Our candidates are trained to balance technical dive skills with ocean stewardship.
Freediving and Eco-Consciousness in Instructor Training
We integrate freediving into our instructor and divemaster programs to build confidence and foster a deeper connection with the ocean. This connection reinforces the importance of protecting the underwater world. Our candidates receive extensive training in Peak Performance Buoyancy and marine ecosystem awareness, passing on these values to their future students.
