How to Become a PADI Pro
To start your journey toward becoming a PADI Professional, you need to be at least a Rescue Diver and have a minimum of 40 logged dives. Your previous certifications can come from any globally recognised diving organisation, such as CMAS, NAUI, SSI, or RAID.
Step 1: PADI Divemaster Course
The first step is the PADI Divemaster course. This program transforms experienced divers into dive leaders. At Fast Manta, our Divemaster course spans a minimum of six weeks, focusing on high-class training. We challenge our candidates to become better divers and to truly understand what it means to be a PADI Pro.
Step 2: PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC)
After completing the Divemaster course, you can progress to the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC). This two-week course (including the Instructor Examination) equips you with the skills needed to become a PADI Instructor. We only send our students to the Instructor Examination when we are confident they will pass with high scores and demonstrate a solid understanding of safety rules and requirements.
